FIELD MEETS AND GUIDELINESThe IHC endeavours to hold a number of field meets throughout the season in different parts of the country and to cater for the needs of the IHC members and the birds they fly.
A field meet is a gathering of falconers and spectators to witness the flight and pursuit of a hawk or falcon after its quarry in a natural and wild state. It is not a competition. It is an opportunity for falconers to meet, share information and stories and watch other birds of prey been flown and hunted. If you are a landowner or have access to land that has plentiful quarry (i.e. rabbits, pheasant, etc.) and would welcome a visit from a local falconer, please feel free to contact a committee member from our Contacts page. |
